Lifetime Warranty. Quick Installation.

C-Sert Manufacturing warrants repairs made with C-Sert products for the lifetime of your equipment. This warranty provides for full product replacement and freight, at no charge to our customers.

What is covered:

Thread failure: due to stripping, nicking, general wear, and all other mechanical causes, excluding only corrosion.

Mechanical failure: due to pull-out and back-out (including vibration).

As our customer, your only obligations under this warranty are to follow C-Sert Manufacturing’s installation instructions, and to open up an accurate pilot hole to the diameter specified by C-Sert.

How can we offer a lifetime warranty on our C-Serts? (when HeliCoils, Keenserts, and E-Z Loks won’t give you even 5 minutes)

“WHY DON’T C-SERTS WEAR OUT?”   C-Sert threads are hardened tool steel, far harder and tougher than all classes of fasteners.  Compared with C-Serts, bolts are as soft as butter.  So, no thread wear.  Ever.

“WHY DON’T C-SERTS BACK OUT?”  Two reasons:  1) They cut their way into the base metal.  The friction created by this “interference fit” keeps them in place.  2) C-Serts’ external cutting threads are left-handed.  When you remove a bolt, those left-handed threads stay put, or even tighten up a bit.

“WHY DON’T C-SERTS PULL OUT?”   Two reasons:  1) C-Serts wedge deep into the base metal as they cut – high “engagement.”  2) The cutting threads are ACME type, with massive flat crests, far stouter than the typical weak sharp crests found on brands X, Y, and Z.

“WON’T A BAD BOLT DAMAGE C-SERTS?”  No.  All C-Serts contain a built-in die to true up damaged or defective fasteners.  That’s yet another reason we can offer our Lifetime Warranty.

How C-Serts Work

Integral Pilot

C-Serts are TAPS – they cut their way in. The integral pilot ensures they start straight. It’s just .003 – .004 smaller than the hole you have opened up.

Left-Handed Engagement Threads

If you need to remove a stuck bolt from a C-Sert, the L-H external threads prevent the C-Sert from backing out with the bolt.

Thread-Chasing Die Slots

The slots drive the C-Serts. They also clean up any damaged or defective bolt that gets used by mistake.

Acme Profile Threads

The ACME profile is far stouter than ordinary sharp crested threads. It prevents thread failure and pull-out.

Chip Relief, Lands & Flutes

Just like a standard tap, C-Serts have chip relief to reduce tool pressure, lands to support the tapping teeth, and flutes to clear chips.

Tapping Slots & Teeth

This is classic tap geometry – cutting teeth, chip relief, lands and flutes. As chips form, they curl into the C-Sert’s hollow center for removal later.
